Introduction about Faculties and Departments
 

Department of Road and Bridge Engineering

 In the Department of Road and Bridge Engineering, there are 48 full-time teachers, including 8 associate professors, 16 lecturers, 20 engineers, among whom 10 teachers posses master degree and 3 teachers doctorate degree.

 The Department of Road and Bridge has offered such programs as road and bridge engineering, bridge and tunnel engineering, civil engineering supervision, among which the program of road and bridge was determined as the experimental program in higher vocational education reform by the Ministry of Education. The department of road and bridge engineering gives top priority to developing the students¨ practical skills. At present, there are 6 training centers inside the college and 14 training bases outside the college, with 18 labs attached to them, equipped with such facilities as GPS surveying systems, Swiss-made Lei Ca TC1600all-station surveying instrument, nuclear density gauge, and one Hyundai excavator. Furthermore, it has the Road Design Agency, the Road Engineering Supervision Affairs Agency, the ConstructionMaterialsTestingCenter and the Mechanized Construction Team, which provide ample opportunities for the students to develop practical skills.

Department of Automobile Engineering

 Department of Automobile Engineering consists of 40 teachers, among whom there are 10 associate professors and 8 lecturers. It has offered five programs, among which automobile application technology was designated as the experimental program in the national higher vocational education reform in 2001 and as one of the first group of the national advanced programs in 2002 by Ministry of Education. In 2004, the college was designated as one of the vocational colleges for training the urgently-needed talents in automobile application and maintenance by the Ministry of Education.

 The department has 18 multi-functional labs. The automobile maintenance lab takes the initiative in the country to simulate the whole process of car sales, car maintenance and accounting in full compliance with the 4S operating models. The department has cooperated with Toyota Motors Co. in setting up the Toyota T-TEP school, equipped with the first-class facilities for practicing and training. It has founded 16 training bases for students to do experiments and practice in Chengdu, Mianyang, ect. in Sichuan and the coastal areas in China.

Department of Economic Management

 Department of Economic Management consists of 33 part-time and full-time teachers, among whom there are 8 associate professors, 13 lecturers, 11 with master degree and 2 with doctorate degree. At present, it has offered seven programs. Up to now it has 2,500 graduates. It has set up stable training bases outside the college and established close co-operation with more than 50 enterprises . It aims at fostering students with varies practical skills based on the model of ^one diploma, multiple certificates ̄.

Computer and Information Technology Engineering Department

 Computer and Information Technology Engineering Department offers the programs concerning computer application, computer network technology and computer software. The structure of the teaching staff is reasonable. It has developed close cooperation with companies and enterprises. There are first-rate practicing and training bases inside and outside the college. The department has cooperated with NIIT which is the leader of the global information technology industry and one of the three biggest companies in India, and has introduced international educational IT models into the college and founded NIIT information and technology college where the full-time and mosaic educational models are adopted first in China. The department aims at training compound talents who have acquired all-round development of morality, intelligence and physique, and who have grasped the newest IT technology and have the abilities to undertake the tasks of software development and design and maintenance.

Department of Humanities and Fine Arts

 Department of Humanities and Fine Arts was founded in 2001, and it became an independent department in 2002. It offers three programs: industrial design, environment and decoration design and tourism management. There are 638 students grouped into 18 classes, under the instruction of 18 teachers and 22 guest professors, specialists and consultants. Today, the department has 15 training bases for students to do experiments and practice inside the college and 13 outside the college.

Department of Construction Engineering

 Department of Construction Engineering offered four programs: housing construction, construction cost management, construction decoration technology, real estate development and management. It mainly fosters professional talents going in for architectural design, construction, supervision, project management, construction cost analysis and so on. At present, the department has 24 full-time teachers, among whom there are 6 associate professors, 8 lecturers and engineers. The department keeps close cooperative contacts with enterprises.

Department of Automation Engineering

 Department of Automation Engineering offers 5 programs, namely Mechanical Design, Manufacture and Automation, Electronic Information & Technology, Digital Technology and Application, Modern Mold Design & Manufacture, Electrical Automation Technology. It has 15 labs for electronic technology, automation control, modern manufacturing technology (digital control and mold), machinery and so on. Furthermore, it has set up training bases through cooperating with enterprises or companies for students to do experiments and practice outside the college.

Fundamental Teaching Department

 There are 43 teachers in the Fundamental Teaching Department, including 15 associate professors and 19 lecturers. It consists of five Teaching 7 Research offices of mathematics, English, Chinese, etc.

Department of Secondary Technical Education

 Department of Secondary Technical Education was set up in the college¨s transition period, with 1230 students grouped into 37 classes. The department has 8 full-time administrators, 13 full-time and part-time teachers in charge of these classes.
